July 9, 2014, Sacramento, California, USA – Elk Grove Unified School District (EGUSD), the 5th largest school district in California, has successfully implemented The EGUSD Energy Conservation Program. Consumes River Elementary School (grades K-6, 506 students) took the challenge and, working with GenEon Technologies, was able to successfully implement a program to utilize renewable technology solutions for cleaning, sanitizing, and disinfecting while reducing costs and water usage. Their solution also eliminated the use of toxic chemicals, creating a cleaner, healthier, and SAFER environment for students and staff.

EGUSD believes that ALL schools should be concerned with providing a safer, cleaner environment while staying under budget. To that end, GenEon and Pure Planet Water are sponsoring a Town Hall meeting on Wednesday, August 6, 2014, to share these incredible findings with the public, the media, local politicians and, in particular, other schools facing the same challenges Elk Grove has triumphed over. There will be a distinguished panel on hand to facilitate the event and to discuss not only renewable cleaning and cost savings, but safety and process improvements.
The Panel includes:
  • Dr. Hal King – Dr. Hal King is a public health professional who has worked in the government
(CDC)Centers for Disease Control and Prevention), academia (Emory University School of
Medicine), Military (U.S. Army Reserves Consequence Management), and industry sectors to

the Co-Founder and President of Public Health Innovations, and the Director of Public Health and
    Safety at Chick Fila.
