GenEon Helps Fort Smith Public Schools Fight the Flu

With the coronavirus passing 1,000 deaths this week and the prolonged flu season in the River Valley, Fort Smith Public Schools (FSPS) are using Geneon Sprayers with Hypochlorous Acid to kill bacteria in schools.

Facilities Supervisor Shawn Shaffer briefed the Board of Education on how his team is keeping area elementary schools' absence rates as low as possible.

Hypoclorous Acid is used in hospitals as disinfectant and to clean wounds. According to the Health Department, it is an excellent cleaning agent that can help prevent the spreading of the flu and the coronavirus. Shaffer stated that it was "used to create a cleaner, healthier, safer environment throughout the district."
